Achal Pashine, M.Sc., Ph.D.

Vice President of Oncology and Immuno-Oncology Research

Dr. Pashine is Vice President of Oncology and Immuno-Oncology Research at Arvinas. Dr. Pashine has over 24 years of research and discovery experience in industry and academia. Dr. Pashine came to the company after serving as Group Director, Immunology at Bristol-Myers Squibb where he led a team and provided Immunology discovery and translational science leadership for antibody, antibody conjugates, and small molecule projects. At BMS, his team accomplished multiple clinical nominations, two of which are currently being tested in clinical trials.

Previously, Dr. Pashine was Director of Biology at GlaxoSmithKline where he initiated and led international collaborative project teams in the field of immuno-oncology. Prior to that, Dr. Pashine was Research Leader of Immunology at Hoffmann-La Roche where he provided discovery leadership on global discovery project teams in immunity and inflammation therapy areas for small molecules, monospecific, and bispecific antibody projects. At Roche, his team transitioned multiple projects to select clinical lead molecules.

Dr. Pashine received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Microbiology with distinction from the University of Pune, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Immunology from the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi, India. He conducted his postdoctoral research at the Medical College of Georgia, Stanford University and Chiron Corporation. He has published numerous research articles and reviews in reputed immunology journals and has published book chapters and patents during his drug discovery research.
